Just finished (re)reading Philip Jose Farmer's #Riverworld trilogy (in four parts). I read it as a young man and remembered it fondly. It has not aged well. It is terrible in so many different ways. I do *not* recommend it at all. The only reason I read it all the way through, was that I remembered a twist at the end that made an interesting existential point. It was there, but like the rest of the books it was just meh. A waste of time, but also a nostalgic longing laid to rest. #bookstodon
