2. Bless Davie the Crofter, he was soon there, and knew this lamb's history. It had been rejected by its birth mother, but another ewe had taken it. Unfortunately, second Mumsie lost interest and walked off. Davie was unable to find her, so this one will become a pet lamb.
She was determined to get some milk from my hands and jacket though. A feisty little thing, she'll be fine.
Right up there on the cuteness scale though (the lamb, not me) and my hands were lanolinned for the rest of the walk

Just had a message from Davie the Crofter to say that he found the abandoned lambie's mother, and has penned in the two of them. She's happily accepted the lamb who is feeding. Everyone's happy. #Lambing

@withaveeay@mastodon.scot a b&b we stayed at in Ireland had two lambs that were bottle-fed because the moms had both died after giving birth. Watching them emptying a 2l bottle was truly impressive, almost violent. 😂
