Well said Andrew Marantz in the New Yorker: "Musk deleted his tweet, but he didn’t apologize or issue a correction. 'Twitter obviously cannot become a free-for-all hellscape, where anything can be said with no consequences,' he had tweeted on the day he took over the company, shortly before amplifying defamatory misinformation with no consequences."
