Got some items in a grocery store & looked around for the checkout. None - a sign said "Please bring your things across the street to pay for them." So did but are people that honest in Trieste you can have 1/2 store unmanned?

@SCampbell@mstdn.social We stayed in a hotel in Cordoba, Spain last week and it had an honour bar. Just write down what you take. Seemed to work just fine.
