@vga256@mastodon.tomodori.net Warez CDs are a surprisingly useful archive.
I had the same with VistaPro (a landscape rendering program) a few years ago, where a Twilight CD is the only place that has seemingly preserved a later release of VistaPro.
I'm surprised, though, that textures from Myst were even a thing that StrataClip sold as a package, and popular enough that it was pirated.

@loadhigh@bitbang.social that's fantastic - i do remember VistaPro! yes - it's in fact the *only* texture pack from that entire cd that ended up on a warez cd. they knew exactly what they wanted 😆 at $99 USD per texture pack ($1700 for the entire library), i don't blame them for buying only that one.

They’re not super accessible and I don’t know if they’re still all readable, but if someone needs something specific, now or in the future, I can try and have a look.
