@morgaelyn@bolha.us @johncarlosbaez@mathstodon.xyz Arguably, the sun moves counterclockwise above you in the northern hemisphere. Lie down on the ground with your feet to the south and look up. The sun will rise on your left, move to the feet and then set on your right. Definitely counterclockwise. This is very clear in the summer far north. Shadows move clockwise on the ground, as we there see the rotation from above, looking down. I think.

    @magnus@mastodon.world @morgaelyn@bolha.us @johncarlosbaez@mathstodon.xyz they're definitely both going clockwise. If your head is at the 12 on a clock face and your feet at 6, the sun is going from 3 to 6 to 9 - clockwise - while the shadows go from 9 to 12 to 3 - also clockwise.
