@dormouse759@mas.to @dotjayne@tech.lgbt Studies have shown that wearing a properly fitting N95 mask does lower the risk of catching airborne viruses for the wearer. So wearing a mask is not just for others. Even the CDC mentions it here: https://www.cdc.gov/respiratory-viruses/prevention/masks.html Yes, it would benefit us all a lot more if those who were sick wore masks, or yet, just stayed home, but that does not negate the benefits of the things we can control - like masking, vaccines, and limiting exposure .
