I get that for things like organising between a smaller group of people, etc, a private chat is better suited. It can also be that people no longer use forums for QA stuff because they will simply rely on LLMs (rightly or wrongly) and forums become outdated. Who knows.
I've spent enough time online - pre blogs, blogpost boom, twiter, boards - to know that things will change and evolve with time. My concerns or dislike of a particular format matter very little.
