For the cost of the Car parks for commuters program they could have built 4600km of bicycle infrastructure. Enough bicycle infrastructure to get from Melbourne to Perth via Sydney. They could have also built 3046km of pop-up bike lanes with the loss revenue the reduction in the fuel excise over the last month. https://fuel-subsidy.pages.dev/

    @jessta@aus.social Yes, and even if you switch to actually good bike infrastructure, as the CPFC program was for pretty nice car parks, it is still really compelling, because good cycle infrastructure is also cheap :)
