I'm feeling upset about this statement in today's @medium newsletter: "Looked at properly, the AI era is turning *everyone* into a writer."
I've started drafting a rebuttal, but just sharing this for now to see how others feel about it.

@funcrunch@me.dm @medium@me.dm it's making a lot of people think they are writers. If they were writers, they would not need AI. That's the distinction that grammarly (fixed!) and others have been working on for some time. If it makes someone a writer, then they don't need AI.
