this is getting traction again so i want to add that this goes in general. i have had two people insinuate that i was a predator because i simply interacted with children. a family member of mine was in the news a few years ago for reading stories to children at a library while daring to be not cis. a cis woman can say "i love kids" and no one bats an eye. if a trans woman says that, eyebrows get raised at *least*. this can be nothing else but transmisogyny. we are seen as ontologically predatory, and as guilty by default. if you want a group up be suspicious of, fathers and priests are much more likely to be child predators than trans women. yet why are they not seen as immediately suspicious? because it wouldn't be very helpful to patriarchy if they were. indeed the reason we are treated this way is precisely because predation is primarily a boy's club, whether fathers, brothers, teachers, priests. it's quite politically expedient to distract from this by casting "sexual deviants" as predatory. it was once homosexuals, and now it's trannies. the same story every time, yet the same dipshits keep falling for it. your vigilance towards trans women is distracting from real issues and perpetuating ideas that get people like me killed or imprisoned or HALed for no good reason. if you see a trans woman interacting with a child and assume she's being predatory, you are Hitler.
