Ya'll really need my ID, my social card, my birth certificate, medical records to prove my disability AND a bank statement 😩
This is the reason that the SAVE Act is voter disenfranchisement that specifically takes aim at stripping Black and indigenous people and women of their rights. I haven't had my birth certificate in more than ten years and it's "expensive" at 30 bucks to get a new one and I still have to wait for it

I would be surprised if my grandmother knew where her birth certificate was, or my parents. Like, I'm sure my mom and stepmom do, but my dad and my mom's ex? If they have theirs it's only cuz of their wives. I've got my husband's and kid's, but mine got lost way before we moved out, so. Like I haven't needed it! And going to the office of vital records is torture! My ID and social security card are enough for employment, so it was never a priority! #disability #poverty
