@mikehindleuk@mastodon.social It’s also useful to consider Wordpress .com which is a lot simpler and my site actually has some traction. My Squarespace website was tumbleweed. However I’m not a pro and not trying to run a business.

Glad you've found the right solution here 🙌🏻 I didn't mention the .com version in the article, as I see them as a hosting company and think they mislead people into thinking it's WordPress itself. That said, your site look great, and they do remove many of the frustrations I mentioned 🙌🏻
