@gardiner_bryant@mastodon.online This would be very exciting if the Steam Machine... would be classified as a console on such a shipping manifest, which it would almost certainly not be, and the Steam Deck, which would, had not been out of stock for quite some time and be more likely anyway.

@gardiner_bryant@mastodon.online I think it’s likely that these consoles are steam frames and they don’t understand how valve could get the steam machine classified as anything other than a PC

@gardiner_bryant@mastodon.online I really hope they allow pre-orders with this because the release of the Steam controller was an absolute shit show. I set an alarm for the release time and when I tried to buy it I got an error "initializing payment" even though I pre-loaded my Steam account with the money specifically for that purpose. After half a dozen tries I waited an hour for things to die down. I tried again, got no error, just a page refresh 3-4 times, then it said it was out of stock. Scalpers...
