We can be lifted up by those who’ve blazed a trail ahead of us. As for Gary, he is an absolute legend who I am honored to call a friend. Most of the time, Gary just gets on with his job, and is exceptional at it, regularly appearing on TV and radio in Britain and beyond. But he doesn’t seek to hide his blindness. He talks about it openly when asks and discusses how it has been a strength in his career. He also doesn’t hesitate to call out discrimination and harmful attitudes when necessary. He’s comfortable in his own skin and is one of the best at his profession in the world.
