@netbsd@mastodon.sdf.org I don't think this was a necessary policy. I think the code should be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. AI in its current state is mostly an advanced completion tool, and I believe it could improve the productivity of developers significantly.

@andrei@mastodon.sdf.org @netbsd@mastodon.sdf.org How do you propose to review a piece of code to see that it is not of dubious copyright status? The policy, as I gather from the original toot, is not about the technical quality of the code but about its legal status. In fact, if it comes from AI, you are pretty much guaranteed that it has unclear status.
