I keep seeing liberals bragging about cops praising No Kings protests for being peaceful, and like… baby, if the cops are on your side, you’re not at a protest. You’re marching in a state sanctioned parade. That is what these “protests” are. Parades. They’re not being used to organize further, more significant action; they’re not making any demands; the only thing they seek to accomplish is making people feel good about themselves despite the rising tide of fascism, despite doing nothing to combat it. I’m not going to tell you that anything but instant revolution is meaningless, but we need to be doing something. We can’t just go for a walk with a sign for an hour or two every few months and tell ourselves we’re Doing Our Part. The government does not care about anything we have to say. Simply raising our voices is not enough. We need a general strike. #uspol #uspolitics #nokings #us #usa
