before some of y'all complain too much about the irony or unfortunateness of mlk-jr day and inaug day coinciding this year, just answer one question for me:how is it any different from easter sunday and trans day of visibility coinciding last year?do y'all remember how much chiding we gave the upset christian cis folks about it? when days of reservation use different scheduling schemas, they're bound to bump into each other. it doesn't have to mean anything. mlk-jr day is on the third monday of january. easter is on the first sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox. alternatively, inaug day is always the 20th of january and tdov is always the 31st of march. two three different schemas for scheduling things and they're bound to butt up against each other in weird ways. i think it's remarkable it doesn't happen more often.
