@ggmartin@mastodon.social @aral@mastodon.ar.al I live near Dune Peninsula park, named after Frank Herbert's work and built on top of the copper smelter slag pile that partly inspired Dune. I walk around that park and I think of how 100% exactly on target he was about what giving machines the ability to think (or the facsimile there of) would do to us.
