...all the willful ignorance of the details of how the work really happens & of the human fuel that feeds fires of industry, & how we didn’t acknowledge we were making an industry & that the industrial complex needs regulation if it isn’t going to poison us.
So here we are at the gravesite of our illusions. Remembering the good & acknowledging the awful. It’s that classic movie scene—& isn’t how we relate everything to movie tropes such a characteristic thing about those of us who made the Web?
