@kelset@mastodon.online The reasonable way to handle an optional service bundled with a piece of software would be to have a license for the software and a ToS for the service and only require you to agree to the ToS if you use the service. I would guess that this is what VS Code is doing if you use Copilot. Maybe their ToS for Copilot even requires you to be 18+ (I haven't checked). They just had the sense to not shove the Copilot ToS in your face just to download the editor
