What cabbage variety are you growing? I didn't know they were deterrents either.
I have mint growing in pots, but there are several mint plants that pop up every year in a couple other garden beds.
My oregano is growing in pots. It overwintered in an unheated garage. Which was a good thing, since we had a rather deep cold southeast Michigan winter.

@redcrew@mstdn.social A variety called Durham early I think, must be the last of my seed and took a chance. Its overwintered and just starting to form heads now so might be used as a loose leaf cabbage if they don't get bigger. My in ground oregano needs a lot of taming but I do have some mint in a container otherwise that will go wild!
