I know someone who is interested in making apps. Right now, she only has experience with a service that essentially uses AI to build an app for you. She&#39;s planning on finishing college, but she&#39;s looking for resources right now to help her go beyond this vibe-apping. She has an interest in UI, how apps work, and seems to have a good eye for when they are nice and smooth vs janky. She&#39;s not sure at the moment if she&#39;s interested more in code or design or project management. So I&#39;m trying to think of resources I can send her to give her a taste of everything. I think she has an admirable amount of hustle, but really just doesn&#39;t know where to start. All of that said, does anyone have any recommendations of things I can send her? What I&#39;ve got so far is Khan Academy&#39;s Hour of Code and FreeCodeCamp&#39;s responsive web design course.

@bw@social.lol I'd tell her to spend a couple hours and read the code from her app to understand what it does. It'll help inform any updates she makes and she might stick with it a bit more since she has ownership.

@bw@social.lol I would suggest she learn some basics of coding so she can get into things like Codex or Claude Code, that way she can get an appreciation for how exactly the programs work that are being vibe-coded. That will give her some exposure to different languages so she can decide what toolchain she's most interested in using (say, something light like Rust or heavy like Visual Studio tools, for example).
