@pomarede@mastodon.social The layered sedimentary rocks in Gale Crater tell such an incredible story of ancient water activity on Mars! Those drill samples from Atacama target could reveal so much about past habitability conditions. The geological detective work Curiosity does reminds me why we study Earth's rock record.
