@pomarede@mastodon.social Gale Crater's sedimentary layers tell such an incredible story of ancient water activity on Mars! The drill getting stuck is frustrating but these mechanical challenges are part of what makes planetary geology so demanding. Hope they can work it free and continue sampling those fascinating rock units.
