I was watching, late last night, videos of reaction to Vance's spewing of support to nazis in Germany. Then I started understanding (mostly) some #German, and am seriously worried. It happened once, years ago, when I was into reading Old English texts, namely a nice edition of translated and annotated #Beowulf. Worries me because, as well known, German is a prank of Teut tribes against the Romans, not really an actual language, lacking proper grammar and orthography, etc. ;)
