@multioculate@mastodon.social If I had a workshop, this would be exactly the sort of thing I'd use an excuse to buy and learn how to use a lathe that was at least twice my own age and weighed as much as a large horse, so I absolutely get you on that one.

@vulgalour@birdbutt.com I have a little 9" swing interwar-era Southbend and you know what they say, once you have a lathe, all your problems start to look axisymmetric (plus threads :)
