Cold turkey worked for me…
…that combined with my stubbornness and my worst enemy at work laughing at me and saying I’d never be able to do it.
It’s been ~20 years now…

Congratulations, that's a very difficult thing to do if you are a heavy smoker, and usually requires several attempts.
