Slowly getting into the rhythm of #travel, unfortunately it’s only a week long ‘taster’ of #Ireland. Never been before properly and I already know I should return for a longer trip. Today: the ferry to Inishbofin island. That may be a tautology, I suspect Inish to mean Island (confirm?). Knowing the wonderfully strange film The Banshees of Inishirin… Now, off to the ferry! #Connemara

    Waiting for the return ferry near the Inishbofin community center, and hearing a class of hardly 5-year olds sing #Zombie by #theCranberries Now that’s an education! (Note that at the same time I’m looking out over the ruins of Cromwell’s barracks so the sentiment is well understood)

    @photovince@mastodon.social You are correct - Inis means island. 'Inis Bó Finne' means 'island of the white cow.'
