@bert_hubert@fosstodon.org Totally agree with Landau and Lifshitz being on that list. Depending on the intended granularity regarding the fields, "Absorption and Scattering of Light by Small Particles" by Bohren and Huffman could be on the list. For atmospheric science, "Introduction to Dynamic Meteorology" by Holton comes to mind.
