@laurenheywood@social.ds106.us Things are definitely progressing. The front of your plot will look quite the shop window when it is all in flower. I’ve been mulching my earlies up for 10 days or so. I watched bees busy pollinating the blackcurrants this afternoon while I was hand pulling the horsetail and bind weed around the raspberries. The phacelia isn’t far away from flowering, nor the crimson clover.

  • @Broadfork@mastodon.green Sounds like a peaceful and productive day :) I've been heartened by the amount of bees I've seen this year so far, don't know if it's generally a better year for them or if the habitats I've made have helped. The neat front of the plot is by design to make it tall, pretty and formal at the front so I get less comments about whatever else is happening. The committee are fine with my plot but there's monoculture busybodies that like to comment on the "untidiness" of interplanting etc
