I worked for 3 hours today on a freelance project. It might not sound like a lot, but having been out of work for about a year and a half now, this suddenly makes freelancing feel way more “real”. And it was a fulfilling 3 hours! I feel energized, a little more like my old self. I doubt I could sustain a full-time freelance future – my health conditions make good employer-provided insurance much more of a ‘need to have’ than a ‘nice to have’, thanks USA! – but for now, this is Something, and Something feels good.
