Prefacing your criticism with criticism of the west doesn’t really change the function of your criticism. In the end you’re still legitimizing western agitprop.

I think they meant actual good faith criticism, not the usual 100 billion dead nonsense Of course, propaganda is effective, and well-meaning people might repeat propaganda unintentionally because it’s easy to take something you know as “fact” for granted. It’s good practice, not just in political topics, to trace back where you’ve learned something from.
