@shanselman@hachyderm.io @aral@mastodon.ar.al When EM bought the dead bird site, there was a story I read (by an ex twitter programmer) which summed him up so well (slightly paraphrased): "When I heard him talk about Rockets, not knowing anything, I thought 'this guy knows his stuff!'. When he talked about electric cars, not knowing anything, I thought 'this guy knows his stuff!' When he talked about programming and twitter, I thought 'this guy's an idiot!', and I suddenly saw his other comments in the same light"

Remember also that he's "the world's richest man" based almost entirely on the price of stock in his ponzi scheme companies. @DodoTheDev@front-end.social @shanselman@hachyderm.io @aral@mastodon.ar.al I've experienced this with many over-confident people who acts like they know everything. They market themselves so well that I'd doubt my own education and experience when I was young and they say things like "App Store doesn't have IAP, it's impossible to use it".
