Tasmanian state record of 28.8 ºC at Swansea on the 1st in 1936 does not appear to be under threat today. Warmest place so far is Campania

26.1 ºC now (Campania 26.6 ºC). You can play along at home using https://reg.bom.gov.au/tas/observations/tasall.shtml (I don't think there's an equivalent on the new improved BoM web site, and if there is I can't find it).
