@edg@mstdn.social @Tattie@eldritch.cafe That’s pretty common and it takes time. Showing up as yourself to therapy is a step. You just have to keep taking steps. A lot of beating the imposter feelings is just about doing the scary thing and it being okay and then doing it again and it being okay again. Over time, your brain retrains to not worry about it so much. Then, eventually, you start to see other women doing the same as you and you start to feel part of that group. But it takes time and it takes showing up. But you did that today and I’m really proud of you! 💜

    @edg@mstdn.social I absolutely echo what @faithisleaping@anarres.family says! It took me absolutely ages for me to find belief in my own womanhood. There was a lot of feeling fake and performative at first, before it slowly got thru my skull that I was genuinely moving thru the world as a woman, and there was no magical "essence of womanhood" that I was lacking.
