  @protos@tsundere.love @Mamako@tsundere.love do any history buffs on this fine network of ours know if >that one thing i heard that one time that was related to this meme is true? namely, the thing i heard was that many (if not most) of these ancient statues were actually painted, often in fairly vibrant colors. if so, is it the case that taking the right hand image and removing all color from it would produce something future archaeologists would dig up and conclude was a statue not dissimilar from the left hand image?
