@gusseting@mastodon.social The request you’ve shared doesn’t appear to have gone too far off the rails yet. NDIA asked for an extension, the applicant didn’t respond, so they asked the OAIC for an extension. If the NDIA didn’t ask for an extension and failed to respond within the deadline, the applicant would not have any internal appeal rights - and would have to go to the IC for external review. The biggest gripe I have with the refusal of @hackuador@functional.cafe's FOI is that he’s asking for source code - not internal relationships - and they are using “national security” as a justification for an app that is now, admittedly, no longer in use. It’s absurd.
