I remember thinking that one way they could "fix" social security would be to inflate the currency so much that the guaranteed payout would be enough to buy a few loaves of bread or maybe fill up the tank once a month.
Technically they're keeping up their end of the bargain, so what's the problem?

@ReadyKilowatt@noauthority.social It is hard for me to feel sympathy, because Americans making much less money than me are buying so much crap at inflated prices, that it drives up my costs.
