I'm frustrated. I originally registered my domain and got the email package back in the 2000s thinking "Oh cool! A Canadian company", but somewhere along the line they were bought up by a U.S. company. I'm spending $14CAD a year for my domain name and two email addresses (not forwarding, full hosting) and like... that's in my budget. I would need to over double that to get what I'm getting under a Canadian provider. But like... I keep thinking. All the U.S. has to do is deny access to fucking email and I lose absolutely everything.

@Gwendolyn@eldritch.cafe I use whc dot ca for some Canadian hosting. Classic shared host with cpanel kind of thing but generally competent. They offer email within that and Inthunk directly but I’m not sure it’d feel like a real replacement.
