Reminder that you should also include a non-verbal safeword in your sex/kink negotiations! Verbal safewords can fail for a variety of reasons, such as neurodivergence, trauma, breath play, or a loud environment. In my experience, a double tap is one of the most intuitive examples of this; the gesture is already commonly used in many martial arts, kink, darkroom, and similar communities. spookygirl.boo/notes/alxao163amx7lx71

@zora@spookygirl.boo The first time I encountered this was with a token, meant to be dropped on the ground. It doesn't help with a loud environment, but does help with being unable to speak for any reason... as long as you have the ability to visibly drop it to the ground Another idea was to snap your fingers, actually. It doesn't require nearly as much motion and your hands don't need to be close to your partner However, neither of these help in the situation I first needed to se it, which I had hands behind my back and lay down on top of them... I wonder if clicking my tongue would work, or would love recommendations for other non-verbal safe words
