@lain@pleroma.soykaf.com Well the author qualifies in the next paragraph that analytics pays the bills. I agree that they don't spend enough time defending that viewpoint, but as of now a huge portion of the internet runs on commoditizing analytics and data.

@meff@niu.moe yeah, but why should i care? if techcrunch can't pay there writers if i use rss, i don't mind. it's a dishonest business model.
