@Wolf480pl@niu.moe democracy _today_ is indeed far from perfect.Do you prefer a system where there simply no democracy? This is what happens in company. Workers have no say in how things and why things work. Because the political power is held through lucrative private property (a.k.a the ones who own the company).
Also democracy doesn't have to be reduced to elections. Elections are designed to appeal to emotions, not reason. It doesn't have to be this way.

@alxcndr@mastodon.social ok, let's say that we have a vote on whether we should invest in special docks for importing natural gas from Kuwait via ships, so that not all our gas comes from Russia. How do you expect non-experts (i.e. majority of people) to know if such investment is a good idea? They don't have idea how this whole transfer-gas-by-ship works.
