@alxcndr@mastodon.social also, democracy isn't perfect either. People vote based on emotion, not on what's ratinally best for them.

@Wolf480pl@niu.moe by "doing their best" I assume you have innovation in mind? What parts of our daily lives are depending on innovation today? We're in a post-industrial world, we can produce enough food, energy and shelter for everyone without improving technology. Innovation have become a bonus. Why do we need people to "do their best", while they could do their average and everything would work as well. Efficiency assume there is a profit to made, not that everyone work in the same direction.
