@lain@pleroma.soykaf.com The true failing of that article is that it can't get its head out of its own head long enough to understand that maybe the new users aren't actually trying to consume COMMERCIAL media using the protocol, so it doesn't matter if it's not well-suited for marketing purposes. I use my RSS feed to collate blogs and encyclopedia-based article websites... both of which make their money from my ancillary purchases (i.e. when I go buy a book they recommend) instead of ads.
