After all, most (but of course not all) RSS readers are basically web browsers with disabled JavaScript. Many websites append something like "?source=rss" to all the urls in their feeds, others only show the first few sentences followed by a "read full article" link to force you to use their website and I've even seen services that generate a unique RSS feed url for each visitor.
Tracking RSS users is more difficult, yes, but saying it's downright impossible is just wrong (unfortunately).
