As were the staff of MegaUpload. Before that, Napster, Grokster, and numerous other small internet companies were shut down by the copyright mafia and the US courts, for the crime of helping music fans find new music to enjoy.
Copyright, as its currently structured, serves rentiers not creators, not audiences, and not the common good.
