People often say the secret to job satisfaction is to get a career doing what you love. But quite often, if you really love doing something, the worst thing you could do is put yourself in a situation where someone else is paying you to let them tell you how, and on what terms, you get to do that thing. I'm starting to realize programming is like that for me. I love doing it, but there isn't one piece of the rotten business of programming for hire I don't despise. Time to find something else.
