I remember it so vividly because it was the first player I had that wasn't a busted hand-me-down. @jasonsantamaria@typo.social @Luke@typo.social @colly@mastodon.social @simplebits@mastodon.social @matthiasott@mastodon.social We had one in the house at one point — I can't remember if it was my sister's or mine, or just the family's Walkman. Like you, I loved the tactility of it. My sole Walkman now is a bit borked — the latch is finicky and I lost one of the micro-screws so the door is fragile. I feel like a Sports model would have held up better over the decades, as intended.
