@hugovk@mastodon.social it all depends on the project size. For small, personal things, Codeberg seems to be the consensus. Cloud-based GitLab is also great, though they're also for-profit and American.
For a big group like the PSF though, I suggest following the GNOME foundation's lead and self-host a GitLab or Forgejo instance (or pair up with another FLOSS project that already does this).
